This celebration of textiles and fashion features up-and-coming designers. During the three day event, specialized textile manufacturers fill the city and host fashion shows in the streets. The 2018 event was attended by over 22,000 fashion lovers and the 2019 event is expected to be even larger.

The ten-day event features over 400 exhibitors who display and sell handcrafted goods. Expoartesano is a great opportunity to see traditional and indigenous art. Learn about the history of the indigenous people of Colombia through their handmade crafts. Also, don’t miss the contemporary art exhibit.

Another event for the fashion lover, Colombiamoda 2019 will feature clothing from the best Latin American fashion designers. The three-day event features the latest trends and styles from established designers as well as emerging talent. The event attracts 20,000- 50,000 attendees and regularly sells out- so get your tickets early.
- Flower Festival 2-11 August 2019

The pride and joy of Medellin since 1957, the Flower Festival is all things bright and beautiful. The week-long festival hosts several cultural events including outdoor music concerts, art exhibits, food trucks and cooking classes, and of course- lots of flowers. Beautiful and ornate flower arrangements fill the city of Medellin. The final day of the festival includes the Desfilo de Silleteros- a city-wide parade where huge flower arrangements are carried through the city on wooden pallets.
- Festival of the Birds 1-4 October 2019

Many may not know that Medellin has claimed the title “Bird Capital Of The World.” The annual Festival of the Birds hopes to raise awareness of the vast species of birds that call Medellin and Colombia home. The event features free bird tours and information sessions about all the avian life near and far.
